Computer Application [ ARC 2723 ]

PROJECT 1 : Modelling of an Architectural Design .

i ) TRACING ON AUTOCAD
  • 1)First of all we have to gather around all the drawings by scanning it .

  • 2 ) Then , after that we import the scan images  in jpeg file into Autocad program . ( Insert , Attach )

  • 3a) After we input all of the drawings ( elevation and floor plans ) ,we will start to rescale the image first .
  • 3b) First thing you measure your drawings with scale ruler first (example 7500 mm ) .Then , we make a line and put the measurement inside ( 7500 mm) .

  • 3c ) Lastly , you just rescale with ,with type Scale ,then you klick  the edge left of the image and type refrence ( means following the line ) then you klick  the edge again and the another edge and drag it until the end of the line .

  • 3d ) Then , to make sure that the measurement is true you can type DLI ,to summon the measurement of the images .

ii ) Importing to 3DS MAX

- When i want to extrude i saw some of the autocad drawings are not so good ,and so many double lines .So im considering to try 3ds max to trace the plan once again straightly .

       - So before u trace u have to freeze your floor plan and after that trace and  continue with extruding the wall  .

But then suddenly my 3ds Max file corrupted,it cant open the autocad things, then im trying to trace directly from 3dsmax .and extrude one by one .

After you finish the floor one by 1 ,im trying to grouping of each surface,so we can easyly edit some part without disturbing another part.

Here are some of my render things

Rear elevation

Laslty,I rendered the building with some foundations and contour ,the contour is made from sand ,and used displace button ( terrain ) .

For the next project , All of them are on the right of your screen :).Different pages .
